Welcome to Class 8
We are a Key Stage 3 class consisting of eleven pupils. Our staff team are Louise, Anna, Dale, Lucie and Keisha.
We aim to have a calm, inviting and purposeful atmosphere in class.
Our pupils benefit from daily sensory and mindfulness sessions to encourage self-regulation. Regular communication opportunities are planned for in our school day.
During the year we will be developing our skills through the creative curriculum both in school and on visits into the community. We aim to have fun when learning.
Class 8 are looking forward to the Summer term.
During this term we will be looking at learning about employability and the skills required to complete certain jobs. The pupils will work together to complete the tasks with the correct tools using
English we will continue to focus on all skills required in Speaking and Listening, Comprehension and reading. Our story focus will be Stone age boy and Charlie and the Chocolate factory.
In Maths we will be concentrating on Time as well as weight, capacity and temperature.
For humanities and the creative curriculum, we will be exploring two topics that include The iron Age and Maps, orienteering and Atlases.
· PE will continue to be on a Wednesday with a focus on adventurous activities and sports day.
· Sun Protection – Please send in named sun cream and hats to ensure we’re prepared for any sunny days. A spare set of clothes, including underwear and socks, is also very helpful.
· Snacks and Lunch – Please send in sufficient snacks suitable for your child. This can be sent in daily or for the week.
