Welcome to Bay Class!
Our topic for the first half term is ‘Vikings’, this will incorporate a lot of our foundation subjects that will sit alongside our Maths, English, Science, PSHE, PE and Computing bespoke teaching.
In our English and Communication sessions our current focus story is ‘How to be a Viking’. From this focus story we will build our communication, reading and writing skills and confidence. It will also link well with our PSHE work too where we look to develop our understanding of how we communicate with and support our friends.
In our maths sessions, we will be working on number and place value.
Throughout each day we will weave in our personal targets and aim to make our learning fun!
Key information:
- PE will take place on a Thursday, please ensure your child has a full PE kit in school. Please can you ensure that all PE kit and spare clothing is named, thank you.
- Please send in waterproofs and wellies if they are not already in school, so we are always prepared for whatever the weather brings us. A spare set of clothes, including underwear and socks is also really useful.
- It is great to hear about what your child has been up to over a weekend, so any information about this would be great as it helps bring our communication to life.
