Pine 2025 - 2026
Miss Ebony Finch
Welcome to Pine Class 🙂
Pine Class is made up of 8 wonderful pupils, taught by Ebony and supported by Natasha, Georgia, Rafferty and Julie.
Throughout this academic year each pupil in Pine Class will work towards targets tailored to their individual needs. These targets will fall under the categories of communication and interaction, sensory and physical, independence and life skills and cognition and learning.
During English lessons throughout the year, we will be exploring stories related to our different topics each half term, we will look at both fiction and on fiction texts as well as poetry.
In our Maths lessons pupils will develop number skills all year and we will have a rotation in other areas of Maths. Activities will be fun and practical to ensure pupils enjoy their learning.
Pupils in Pine Class are all working towards their ASDAN accreditation. This year during ASDAN we will be looking at employment, relationships, enterprise and personal well-being.
Throughout the curriculum this year we’ll be using hands-on, multi-sensory activities to explore, investigate, and problem-solve - making learning both practical and fun.
To help your child feel comfortable and prepared each day, please provide:
- A set of spare clothes and a waterproof coat/wellies (to keep in school).
- A water bottle (which can remain in school) or a drink every day.
- Snacks and/or a packed lunch (or ensure a school lunch has been ordered).
I’ll continue to keep you updated on your child’s learning and progress via email. Please share with us any important information that might help us support your child, as well as special achievements or moments from home - we love to celebrate them together!
We are so excited for a fun-filled year in Pine Class. Thank you, as always, for your support.
Warm Regards,
Ebony and the Pine Class team 🙂
