Pine 2025 - 2026
Miss Ebony Finch
Welcome to Pine Class 🙂
Pine Class is made up of 8 wonderful pupils.
Throughout this academic year each pupil in Pine Class will work towards targets tailored to their individual needs. These targets will fall under the categories of communication and interaction, sensory and physical, independence and life skills and cognition and learning.
During the Spring term, our topics will be India and The Orchestra. These are both great topics that allow lots of creative and hands-on lessons where pupils will always have an opportunity for sensory exploration.
Pupils in Pine Class are all working towards their ASDAN accreditation. This term during ASDAN we will be looking at employment and physical & sensory well-being.
This is a very exciting time during Spring 1 as our pupils will be having weekly swim sessions as part of their PE lessons and working towards completing their ASDAN module for physical and sensory well-being.
Throughout the curriculum this year we’ll be using hands-on, multi-sensory activities to explore, investigate and problem-solve - making learning both practical and fun.
To help your child feel comfortable and prepared each day, please provide:
- A set of spare clothes and a waterproof coat/wellies (to keep in school).
- A water bottle (which can remain in school) or a drink every day.
- Snacks and/or a packed lunch (or ensure a school lunch has been ordered).
I’ll continue to keep you updated on your child’s learning and progress via email. Please share with us any important information that might help us support your child, as well as special achievements or moments from home—we love to celebrate them together!
We are so excited for a fun-filled year in Pine Class. Thank you, as always, for your support.
Warm Regards,
Ebony and the Pine Class team 🙂
