A very warm welcome to all our Cherry Class families and friends! We are absolutely thrilled to begin another exciting year of learning, fun, friendship and adventure together. π We have lots of wonderful activities, exciting topics and memorable experiences planned for the children this term, and we cannot wait to share them with you! π
πΈπ Cherry Class is made up of nine amazing children, taught by Christy (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) and Katie (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday), alongside our fantastic and dedicated Cherry staff team π. Together, we create a nurturing, happy and engaging environment where every child is supported to grow in confidence, independence and achievement. ππ

Our Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils will continue working towards their ASDAN Qualifications π.
This term’s themes of ‘Following Rules’ and ‘Dangers’ will help students develop valuable life skills, increase independence and prepare for their futures.

As our pupils move through Hillside, we continue to focus on Preparation for Adulthood through:

We will continue using the Zones of Regulation to help children:

Through carefully supported play sessions based on Intensive Interaction principles, children will develop:

π Important Information for Families π
πβοΈ PE takes place every Wednesday morning. Please send your child to school wearing sporty clothing, trainers or their PE kit.
π² Please send in your child's favourite games or board games for Games Club.
π₯ͺ Please send snacks, drinks and lunch each day (or order lunches in a morning)
π§ Please check emails regularly for updates, photos and messages.
πΈ Don't forget to visit this Cherry Class page regularly for celebrations and learning updates.
