Summary
We are looking to appoint a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to support the team of Teachers at our amazing school.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the teacher in the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of the effectiveness of the curriculum for pupils and to adapt curriculum content according to the needs of pupils.
The HLTA will cover class Teachers for PPA, ECT time, Management time and to plan and deliver challenging lessons. To advise and support staff in specialist areas within the within the school, co-ordinate, and have development and Line Management responsibility for Teaching Assistants. You will also be required to monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher and establish supportive and constructive relationships with pupils, parents and carers.
You will be joining a team of 4 HLTA’s who share responsibility for Thrive, overseeing TA’s embarking on NVQs, Forest Schools, Sensory Integration, SALT support, 1:1 and small group intervention, therefore, experience in any of these areas will strengthen your application.

Essential Qualifications Relevant NVQ level 4 qualification or equivalent
Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy
Desirable Qualification HLTA status
Essential Experience Experience of working with children
Experience of working in a classroom environment
Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
Desirable Experience Staff management experience
Experience of Administrative work
